Environmental <br />Memo <br />To: Katie Larsen <br />From: Andy Nelson <br />Date: June 3, 2020 <br />Re: Environmental Coordinator Comments <br />Environmental has the following comments about the Lyngblomsten Preliminary plat <br />dated May 11, 2020: <br />• Irrigation design should consider a valve to shut off native prairie areas if <br />water gets low in the pond. <br />• A maintenance agreement will be required for the pond. <br />• Prairie area plantings should be a lower profile seed mix with enhanced forbs <br />added. Seed mix descriptions needed. See new comments below. <br />• Applicant must have an NPDES permit. <br />Not listed yet <br />• Applicant must have a designated inspector for erosion control who is certified <br />in erosion control from the State of Minnesota. <br />• All erosion control inspections and corrections for non-compliance issues <br />must be sent to the City of Lino Lakes no later than the next business day. <br />New Comments, Andy Nelson 5/07/20 <br />• Consider replacing Little Moses burning bush (Euonymus alatus) with another <br />species.
