COUNCIL MINUTES <br /> APPROVED <br /> 1 <br /> 2 LINO LAKES CITY COUNCIL <br /> 3 SPECIAL MEETING <br /> 4 MINUTES <br /> 5 <br /> 6 DATE : March 7,2022 <br /> 7 TIME STARTED : 6:05 p.m. <br /> 8 TIME ENDED : 6:12 p.m. <br /> 9 MEMBERS PRESENT : Councilmember Stoesz,Lyden, <br /> 10 Ruhland, Cavegn and Mayor Rafferty <br /> 11 MEMBERS ABSENT <br /> 12 Staff members present: City Administrator Sarah Cotton; Human Resources and Communications <br /> 13 Manager Meg Sawyer; City Clerk Julie Bartell <br /> 14 <br /> 15 PUBLIC COMMENT <br /> 16 There were no public comments. <br /> 17 SETTING THE AGENDA <br /> 18 The agenda was approved as presented. <br /> 19 ADMINISTRATION DEPARTMENT REPORT <br /> 20 1A) Consider Appointment of Aquatics Supervisor-Human Resources and Communications <br /> 21 Manager Sawyer reviewed her written report outlining applicant qualifications,the recruitment <br /> 22 process and a recommendation to appoint Madeline Rosewood to the new position. <br /> 23 Mayor Rafferty asked if this is a union position. Administrator Cotton explained that the City is <br /> 24 working with a labor attorney to determine what is appropriate for this position. <br /> 25 Councilmember Lyden remarked that this candidate is well qualified according to her resume. <br /> 26 Councilmember Lyden moved to approve the appointment of Madeline Rosewood to the position of <br /> 27 Aquatics Supervisor. Councilmember Stoesz seconded the motion. Motion carried on a voice vote. <br /> 28 1B) Consider Appointment of Building Inspector- Human Resources and Communications <br /> 29 Manager Sawyer reviewed her written report outlining applicant qualifications,the recruitment <br /> 30 process, and a recommendation to appoint Joel McPherson to the vacant position. <br /> 31 Mayor Rafferty remarked on the importance of filling this position since the building season is <br /> 32 quickly approaching and the City doesn't want to fall behind with the inspection process. <br /> 33 Councilmember Ruhland moved to approve the appointment of Joel McPherson to the position of <br /> 34 Building Inspector. Councilmember Cavegn seconded the motion. Motion carried on a voice vote. <br /> 35 UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br /> 36 There was no Unfinished Business. <br /> 37 <br /> 38 NEW BUSINESS <br /> 39 There was no New Business. <br /> 1 <br />
