• Sports jerseys (unless part of a planned employee event/theme day) <br />• House slippers <br />Employees are allowed to wear jeans that are clean, not faded, free of rips, tears, fraying and not <br />excessively tight or revealing. <br />Employees are allowed to wear tasteful sneakers that are clean, well kept, and in good condition. <br />Employees are allowed to wear dress sandals that are professional, clean, well kept, and in good <br />condition. Beach flip flops are not allowed. <br />Employees who need an accommodation associated with a protected status such as religion or <br />disability should speak with Human Resources to obtain approval to deviate from this policy. <br />8.11 Computer Use Policy <br />A. Purpose and Scope <br />This policy serves to protect the security and integrity of the City's electronic communications and <br />information systems by educating employees about appropriate and safe use of technology <br />resources. This policy applies to all individuals granted access to the City's network and <br />information systems. This policy includes all City -owned computers, as well as those connected <br />to the City's network. <br />B. Securing Desktop and Notebook Computers <br />1. Users will ensure reasonable physical safeguards to maintain desktop and notebook <br />computer and peripheral equipment in such a way to avoid inadvertent disclosure of City <br />information. <br />2. When leaving a desktop or notebook computer unattended, users shall apply the "Lock <br />Workstation" feature where systems allow. <br />3. Unattended computers shall be secured from viewing by password protected screen savers, <br />which should be set to automatically activate after a period of non-use. The period of non- <br />use shall be for no more than 60 minutes. <br />4. Desktop computer users shall store confidential and sensitive information on a network <br />drive (shared directory on the City network) and not the user's hard drive. <br />5. Computers and monitors shall be turned off at the end of each workday unless you are <br />instructed otherwise. <br />6. Additional security requirements may be required for computers containing data governed <br />by other applicable state and federal laws, including law enforcement data and data <br />associated with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). <br />C. Physical Security Measures <br />Physical security measures shall be used to secure notebooks, computer media, and other forms of <br />information storage media containing confidential or sensitive information. <br />65 <br />
