CITY COUNCIL <br />AGENDA ITEM 3B <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: Julie Bartell, City Clerk <br />MEETING DATE: April 11, 2022 <br />TOPIC: On -Sale Liquor License Fee Waiver <br />VOTE REQUIRED: 315 <br />BACKGROUND <br />At the April 4th work session staff informed the council that the next annual licensing period <br />for on -sale liquor establishments would commence on July 1, 2022. Information was provided <br />on fee refunds that were authorized in 2020 and 2021 due to the impact of mandated closures <br />and other factors related to the COVID 19 pandemic. <br />At the work session, the council discussed the remaining impacts on restaurant liquor license <br />holders in the city. The council directed staff to prepare an action that would waive certain <br />license fees for the upcoming licensing period. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Council consideration of waiving City fees for the 2022-2023 licensing period for renewal of <br />the following types of on -sale intoxicating beverage licenses: On -Sale Liquor, On -Sale Wine, <br />On -Sale Beer, On -Sale Club, and Sunday Sales licenses. <br />ATTACHMENTS <br />Current on -sale license holders and anticipated fees <br />
