CITY COUNCIL <br />AGENDA ITEM 4A <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: John Swenson, Public Safety Director <br />MEETING DATE: April 11, 2022 <br />TOPIC: Approve Resolution No. 22-37 Accepting Monetary Donation to <br />Lino Lakes Public Safety Canine Unit <br />VOTE REQUIRED: 3/5 <br />INTRODUCTION <br />The Lino Lakes Public Safety Department is requesting council approval of Resolution 22-37 <br />accepting a donation of $1,000.00 from Sharyn Eddleston. <br />BACKGROUND <br />Staff received a check in the amount of $1,000.00 from a Lino Lakes resident to the Lino Lakes <br />Public Safety Police Division Canine Unit. <br />The donor stipulated that the donation be used for the police canine unit. If acceptance of this <br />donation is approved the donated funds will be deposited in the Police Canine fund for the <br />purchase of canine training, equipment and/or certifications. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends approval of Resolution No. 22-37 accepting a $1,000.00 donation from Sharyn <br />Eddleston for the Lino Lakes Public Safety Department's Canine Unit. <br />ATTACHMENTS <br />Resolution 22-37 <br />
