Blue Heron Parade <br /> <br />Mr. Asleson mentioned to be at the parade staging site at 11:00 am on Saturday, <br />August 17. <br /> <br />There will be trash and recycling cans along the parade route and then the containers <br />will be moved to Lino Park for continuing trash and recycling thorough out the day. <br /> <br />Ms. O‘Dea said it would be nice to advertise the monthly recycle day on the side of <br />the car. Ms. Morin will make the signs. <br /> <br />Most of the Environmental Board will be on hand for parade clean up. <br /> <br />B. Recycling Updates <br /> <br />Mr. Asleson mentioned that the recycling cans at parks has been successful. The <br />parks will benefit with this effort. <br /> <br />Mr. Asleson will have score report next time. He also mentioned that the monthly <br />recycling may have been doing just as well as the annual City wide event in May. <br /> <br />C. Promotional Efforts for Environmental Board in Community Events <br /> <br />Mr. Asleson suggested that there is a need for more pictures of community gardens, <br />Blue Herons and other environmental events. <br /> <br />Ms. Bor requested information that if there is no Environmental Meeting can the <br />Environmental Board use a room in City Hall for a work session to start on a slide <br />presentation and other related items. <br /> <br />Mr. Asleson stated that he will find out about having a work meeting in City Hall. <br /> <br />Mr. Heiskary suggested that a good start would be for the members to start taking <br />pictures of recycling day, community gardens, recycling bins and the blue herons to <br />help with the telling of the story. <br /> <br />Ms. Morin suggested in using a 3 ring binder with slide-in sheets, for the <br />Environmental Board information and involvement plus ash borer and organic <br />gardens, that way you can add and remove information when not needed or changed. <br /> <br />Ms Bor suggested using some of the SWPPP slides such as the oil spill on the pond, <br />the culvert problem of before and after a storm and then the repairs that were done. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
