Environmental Board <br />December 16, 2015 <br />Page 2 <br />APPROVED MINUTES <br />The Environmental Board went through the goals and suggested changes to be made and <br />the changes will be reviewed at the next meeting. <br /> <br />B. Meeting Dates for 2016 <br /> <br />Ms. Bor made a MOTION to approve the meeting dates for 2016 and motion was <br />seconded by Ms. Andrzejewski. Motion carried 7 - 0 <br /> <br />C. Recycling Updates <br /> <br />Ms. Fonfara stated that the next Recycling Saturday is December 19 from 10am – 2pm. <br /> <br />Mr. Heiskary has been to a few of the Recycling Saturdays and can’t believe that the <br />demand is still so strong, which is a good thing. <br /> <br />Ms. Bor asked if the Vietnam Veterns were going to be there on Saturday to take clothing <br />and household items because sometimes they are and sometimes they are not. <br /> <br />Ms Fonfara mentioned that the Vietnam Veterns were not going to be there but that <br />Bridging will take household items and that there is a clothing drop off container at the <br />business next to the park that residents can use. <br /> <br />Old and broken holiday lights are being collected from City staff and will be recycled by <br />All Appliance Disposal for free. <br /> <br />Ms. Fonfara also brought up the locations and dates for drop-off Christmas tree recycling. <br />The trees will be mulched and reused in City parks. This was also mentioned in the City <br />newsletter. <br /> <br />Ms. Fonfara is looking for volunteer judges for the “America Recycles Day Art and <br />Essay” contest which has the deadline of December 18. She will email out judging <br />criteria. <br /> <br />D. Other Updates <br /> <br />No other updates <br /> <br />7. ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Ms. Andrzejewski made a MOTION to adjourn the meeting at 8:00 p.m. Motion was <br />seconded by Ms. Kaufenberg.
