Planning Board meeting April 19 <br />The April 19th meeting of the Lino Lakes Planning; and Zoning Commission was <br />called to order by Chairman Glenn Rehbein. Members present were Mr. Roy Stanley, <br />Mr. Andy Cardinal, Mr. Hank Heckenlaible, Mr. Glenn Rehbein, Mr. Ell). Jester, <br />Mr. Duane Klepel. <br />Andy Cardinal reported for the Council. He skid that some members of the Council <br />were interested in knowing if anyone knew of a good location for a dump. After <br />discussion a motion was made by Hank '_eckenlaible, seconded by Jester that the Planning <br />Board be on record as opposing a village owned dump. <br />Andy Cardinal also brought up the matter of the Forest Lake School property <br />2.2 acres corder Hiway 8 and Main St.) It was stated that there was interest in <br />obtaining this land for a park or rest stop park for tourists. :after discussion a <br />motion was made by Roy Stanley seconded by Hank Heckenlaible, that the Planning and <br />Zoning board go on record as opposine our village purchasing the property for this purpose. <br />Reasons for this action were given as: The area is not large enough forVa full scale <br />park and not properly located to be a rest stop for tourists. ?hat such a park would be an <br />additional policink burden. They felt the property could be better used for locating <br />new business. <br />A letter was read from Kiel Banta. and Clyde Rehbein requesting the consent of <br />the Planning Commission to ivide 2 acres into 4 half acre lots. A mcp was shown and the <br />matter discussed. Mr. R,gu'. County Commissioner who was present at our <br />meeting took under study Banta and Rehbeints question as to how much right of way the <br />county possessed. The County Commissioner told them ajr present the county roads do not <br />have a ;`iven distance for right of way or access but were subject to the local regul_.tions; <br />but that he was sure in the near future th:.t there would be a definite right of way <br />established for county roads and that this would erobably be a.. 100 ft. right of way. <br />A motion was made by Duane Klepel seconded by Hank Heckenlaible to grant Clyde <br />Rehbein and Leil Banta permission to divide described lot providing t'_e road access <br />and set back wasproperly done. <br />The county commissioner presented two maps to the Planning and Zoning; Board-- <br />one showing the county ditches and the other showing the land markers for purposes of <br />surveying. He also told of the progress of the County Park on the east side of the <br />village. Tables etc, were being placed there. He said that a `1,500 grant was <br />available from the county to the village under proper conditions especially for a <br />swi a in^ beach for this park. <br />Mr. Paul i:ordeen presented a plat started 'abput 17 years az() near Cal: Line called <br />Lakeview . oodlands.
