MINUTES <br /> LINO LAKES HOME RULE CHARTER COMMISSION <br /> July 28 1993 1, . <br /> LINO LAKES CITY HALL j I'AQ4,1 <br /> Call to Order <br /> The meeting was called to order at 7:05 PM by Chairman Pat Smith. <br /> Roll Call <br /> Present were Matthew Blaylock, William Houle, Rolf Iverson, Raymond Johnson, Sally <br /> Kuether, Ina Liljedahl, Al Ross, Joyce Scharpen, Pat Smith, David Storberg, and <br /> Robert Williams. <br /> Members of the Economic Development Advisory Board present were Brian Wessel <br /> Also present were City Engineer Darryl Schneider. <br /> Old Business <br /> The minutes for the last meeting were read and approved. <br /> The invoice from the Moundsview Bond Attorney for attending the last meeting was <br /> approved for payment. <br /> The subcommittee presented a draft letter to call a community meeting. The content <br /> will be changed slightly to reflect the most recent proposal of the Economic <br /> Development Authority Advisory Board and presented at the next meeting. The <br /> community meeting will be held at Rice Lake Elementary School on September 14 at <br /> 7:00 PM. <br /> A working session will be held on August 18 at 7 PM at the city hall to refine the <br /> agenda and select informational material for the public meeting to be held in <br /> September. <br /> Pat Smith encouraged members whose terms are expiring and are eligible for <br /> another to submit their applications by August 29 so they can be forwarded to the <br /> District Court for consideration. <br /> New Business <br /> The bylaws of the charter commission have not been found. It was moved, seconded <br /> and approved that at the first session of the next charter term a Rules and Bylaws <br /> Committee be appointed to redraft the bylaws of the Charter Commission. <br /> A committee was appointed to go through the old files of the charter commission and <br /> reorganize them. Blaylock, Kuether and Iverson will meet to do this on August 11 at 7 <br /> PM at the city hall. <br /> Brian Wessel presented a proposal to modify the charter in three specific <br /> commercial-industrial areas of the city. <br />
