Call to Order <br /> The meeting was called to order at 7:15prn by Ron Solfest, Chair <br /> Aall Cali - The following members were present: <br /> Marls Benson, William Bohjanon, William Houle, Paul Montain, .Joyce Scharpen, <br /> Bart Rehbein, Ronald Solfest, Diana Turner, Hobert Williams <br /> 2. Minutes of October 13, 1994 & February 9, 1995 were aw-wved as presented. <br /> 3. EDAAB Report - Brian Wessel <br /> An Update on the land exchange with Anoka County was given. The Viet Council <br /> has denkA the proposal since it would convert public land to private use. Brian <br /> will be going back to Met Council with a revised proposal that maintains public <br /> ownership of the County land to be acquired by the City. In addition, Brian <br /> reviewed the status of development in Apollo Business Park. <br /> 4. Fresentalion on street improvements -Torn DeWolfe and Acting City Engineer <br /> John and Tout gave an overview of the maintenance status of the existing City <br /> Streets that are deteriorating and discussed the problems the City is facing too <br /> make the major investment Improvements than are needed. In general` th¢ <br /> problem is that the Charter does not allow general funds to be used In <br /> reeonstructlon projects and the Charter does not allow assessing for improvements <br /> If a majority of property owners do not approve the proposed improvement, <br /> lifter mu-,h discussion of this issue among the Commission members it was <br /> decided Vial a letter would be written to the City Council from the Commission <br /> requesting that they direct the City Engineer to provide a more detailed <br /> reportfprespntation on the status of the Lire lakes streets and cost estimates for <br /> Improvements_ The letter will request that this information be presented to the <br /> Commission at our next meeting scheduled for May 4, 1995. <br /> C O N T I N U E D See Next Page <br />
