1- The regular meeting of the Lino Lakes Plannin.. 3Ct. Zoninc Board eas called to order by Chairman, Mr. McLean at 8:00 P.N. , August 16, 1972. Members present were: Misters Karth, Kelling, Nadeau, and Farrand. Mr. Hill and Mr. Shearen were absent. Mr. Metier was present as liaison to the Council. Mr. Kelling moved to accept the minutes of the July 19, 1972, meeting as mitten. Seconded by Mr. Karth. Motion carried. Nrs. Morehouse appeared to ask for extension of 79th Street. She appeared once before to ask for extension so they could sell their 40 acres in 10 acre plats. Now they would like instead to extend the Street about 400 ft. and then build a home at the end, She slid their present home is too small and they need a bigger one She Wei El Rehbein to the north would be willing to share the cost for a gravel road, but not for blacktop, as it wouldn't be worth his money. She is °eking now if they can just put in a gravel driveway as the extension of 79th, Mt. McLean advised that if title to their present house ever changed hands they might run into a problem. Mr. Kelling said 1) we can't recommend to the Council the extension of 79th Street as anything but a blacktopped road, and 2) we can't tell yoe that you can't build a roadway on your own property. He advised this would be a legal question. Mr. McLean and the Board discussed several alternatives with Mrs. Morehouse. Mr. McLean asked if they had considered putting a road into the middle of their property, se as not to land lock it in the fut:!re. As it is now they reu1d create no value for themselves in the future. The Board felt in the long run this would make the property more seleable, should they wish sell instead of develop, and it weld cost less in the long rum. She was advised to contact the Village Ergeneer for other possible solutions to the proclem. She was also told how Ce'il LaMott went about doing his own developing, and how the P&Z 3oard worked with him on it.00 it wasn't as much a problem as he thought it wrtf.d be. Number 1 -- the property across from the Correctional venter and #2) the property on both sides of Lake Drive between elk and 77th. He was eze:e_e, that the first is presently zoned agricultural- residentia . with a suggested R4 on the Comprehensive Plan, Mr, MIenkveld asked how t'1e Boa?d would feel about a special use permit for a Mobil Home Park in this location. Mr. McLean noted this bed already been asked fcr once before and it had been decided against. Sewer end water were also mentio*tect as detereining factors in this area.
