CITY COUNCIL <br />AGENDA ITEM 1H <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: Lisa Hogstad-Osterhues, Deputy City Clerk <br />MEETING DATE: June 13, 2022 <br />TOPIC: Consider Approval of Resolution No. 22-68, Approving <br />Enterprise and Individual Massage Renewal Licenses <br />VOTE REQUIRED: 3/5 <br />BACKGROUND <br />The City of Lino Lakes has approved regulations that license the practice of massage therapy in <br />the City. <br />At this time there are three massage businesses that have applied for enterprise and/or <br />individual licensing and have met the requirements to be licensed. They are: Heather's Healing <br />Hands, Revialize Therapeutic Massage and Lyssa's Whole Life Wellness. <br />Under city policy, applicants applying for the enterprise or individual massage licenses are <br />required to undergo a background investigation. The Public Safety Department has conducted <br />the background investigations and did not discover any disqualifying offenses that would <br />prevent licensing. <br />Licensees are required to provide identification, to submit verification of proof of accreditation, <br />work comp insurance if applicable as well as pay appropriate fees. No license will be released <br />until all requirements are met. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Adopt Resolution 22-68 approving massage enterprise and individual licenses for a period of <br />July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2023. <br />ATTACHMENTS <br />Resolution 22-68 <br />Exhibit A — 2022-2023 Massage Enterprise and Individual License List <br />
