Design Review Board
December 12, 1990
6. The easement area over the pond on Lots 4 and 5 should be
increased to cover all land below elevation 919.
Approval is also contingent upon purchasing land from Marlin Hansen
to provide access to the land.
Approval is also contingent upon payment of park fees as required
by the park board.
Robert King seconded the motion and the motion was approved
unanimously.
VARIANCE
MOTION: John Bergeson moved to recommend to the city council
approval of a variance, Application #90 -66 to permit a cul -de -sac
greater than 500 feet in length. Variance is based on the findings
that no other access is possible to the site because of topography.
Al Robinson seconded the motion and the motion was approved
unanimously.
CONSIDERATION OF A MINOR SUBDIVISION FROM MARLIN HANSEN,
APPLICATION #90-15 AND VARIANCE APPLICATION #90 -65.
Bob Adamson stated that this minor subdivision is in conjunction
with Oak Brook Peninsula. He needs to purchase the land from
Hansen for the roadway to the plat. Remnants of his land would
also be a part of a park association. He is requesting to purchase
a 2 1/2 acre parcel.
Al LaTourneau addressed the board. He said that three years ago
Marlin Hansen applied before the P &Z board requesting to combine
his two parcels to create one 10 acre parcel. John Miller stated
Hansen was interested in building an accessory building. John
Miller requested this item be tabled so that a certificate of
survey explaining the minor subdivision can be given to the board
members to better explain the issue.
MOTION: John Bergeson moved to table this item due to unanswered
questions. Mr. King seconded the motion and the motion was
approved unanimously.
Mr. Chase said that at the DRB work session last week this item was
discussed. The board would like the applicant to purchase land all
the way to the east boarder of the parcel. This would create a 2
1/2 acre lot and not require any variances for an undersized lot.
CONCEPT PLAN REVIEW FOR HIGHLAND MEADOWS /MENKVELD PROPERTY.
5
1
1
1
