1
1
REVIEW 1
DIM BOARD
TOLY 3, 9i
Chairperson Fred Chase called the special meeting of the design
review board to order at 4:00 P.M. at the Lino Lakes city hall.
Members present were Al Robinson, John Bergeson, Fred Chase, and
Bob King. Also present were Planning Secretary Laura Elken and
City Planner John Miller.
CONSIDERATION OF RESOLUTIONS FINDING THE USE OF TAX INCREMENT FOR
SOIL CORRECTIONS IN COMPLIANCE WITH THE CITY'S COMPREHENSIVE PLAN.
The board members discussed at length resolutions provided by Ron
Batty, special counsel to the city of Lino Lakes. In working with
Ron Birch the developer of Amelia Lake Estates the city had
discussed the use of tax increment financing for soil corrections.
The proposed Amelia Lake project is located in part on the old
Hansen gravel pit near I -35E at C.R.J. The use of tax increment as
outlined by the attorney is for a maximum of $300,000 on a "pay -as-
you-go basis." There would be no direct city liability.
It was moved by John Bergeson and seconded by Bob King to approve
the resolutions as submitted with the correction of "design review
board" for "planning commission ". Motion passed unanimously.
Chairperson Fred Chase adjourned the meeting at 5:15 P.M.
