CITY COUNCIL <br /> AGENDA ITEM 3A <br /> STAFF ORIGINATOR: Lisa Hogstad-Osterhues, Deputy City Clerk <br /> MEETING DATE: May 23, 2022 <br /> TOPIC: Consider Approval of Resolution No. 22-53, Issuance of <br /> an On-Sale and Sunday Sales Liquor License for Muddy <br /> Cow Lino Lakes, LLC d/b/a MC's Tap House <br /> VOTE REQUIRED: 3/5 <br /> BACKGROUND <br /> Patrick Conroy and Andrew Schmitz owners of Muddy Cow Lino Lakes, LLC d/b/a MC's Tap <br /> House, located at 617 Apollo Drive, Suite 110 have applied for an On-Sale and Sunday Sales <br /> liquor license for the restaurant. <br /> The liquor license requires additional approval by the Minnesota Department of Public Safety <br /> Alcohol and Gambling Division. Paperwork will be forwarded to the state if local approval is <br /> granted. <br /> Under city policy, applicants applying for liquor licenses are required to undergo a background <br /> investigation. The Lino Lakes Public Safety Department has performed the background <br /> investigation and has reported no information that would make the applicants ineligible for the <br /> license. <br /> Muddy Cow Lino Lakes, LLC d/b/a MC's Tap House is required to submit verification of <br /> liquor liability and workers' compensation insurance as well as pay appropriate fees. No <br /> license will be released until all requirements are met. <br /> The city code requires that when the city council considers the issuance of a liquor license, <br /> opportunity shall be given to any person to be heard for or against the granting of the license. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> Adopt Resolution 22-53,Approving Issuance of an On-Sale and Sunday Sales Liquor License <br /> for Muddy Cow Lino Lakes, LLC d/b/a MC's Tap House July 1, 2022—June 30,2023. <br /> ATTACHMENTS <br /> Resolution 22-53 <br />
