CITY OF LINO LAKES <br /> RESOLUTION NO.22-60 <br /> ACCEPTING METROPOLITAN COUNCIL CLEAN WATER FUND GRANT <br /> WHEREAS,the City of Lino Lakes has implemented a smart irrigation controller program since <br /> 2021 to promote water conservation efforts; and <br /> WHEREAS,the Metropolitan Council is offering a Water Efficiency Grant under the Legacy <br /> Amendment Clean Water Fund for use in municipal water efficiency programs to offer rebates or <br /> grants to customers of the municipal water supply system to replace specified water using <br /> devices with approved devices that use substantially less water; and <br /> WHEREAS,the City of Lino Lakes was awarded $24,000 to be used for eligible water <br /> efficiency devices, such as US EPA WaterSense labelled smart irrigation controllers; and <br /> WHEREAS,the City match funds of$6,000 will contribute to purchase of additional smart <br /> irrigation controllers; and <br /> NOW, THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes: <br /> That the Metropolitan Council Clean Water Fund Grant is accepted, and hereby authorizes the <br /> Mayor and Clerk to execute the agreement on behalf of the City. <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Lino Lakes this 23rd day of May, 2022. <br /> The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was introduced by Councilmember <br /> Cavegn and was duly seconded by Councilmember Ruhland and upon vote being taken thereon, <br /> the following voted in favor thereof: Ruhland, Cavegn, Stoesz, Rafferty <br /> The following voted against same:None (Absent-Lyden) <br /> -7 . 1-1-- h-/- <br /> afferty, yor <br /> ATTEST: <br /> k Ju i •artell, City Cl <br />
