CITY OF LINO LAKES <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 22-61 <br /> ACCEPTING QUOTES AND AWARDING A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT,WOODS <br /> OF BALDWIN LAKE PARK SITE IMPROVEMENTS <br /> WHEREAS, the Park Board recommended an updated plan for site work improvements at <br /> Woods of Baldwin Lake Park; and <br /> WHEREAS,one quote was received f'or the above-referenced project on Monday May 9th, <br /> 2022. The bid was checked for mathematical accuracy and confirmed that G.L. Contracting, <br /> Medina, MN submitted a quote in the amount of$165,123.40; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Engineer's Estimate was $145,746.50. The quote was higher than anticipated, <br /> likely due to current marketplace uncertainties, fuel costs, and labor costs; and <br /> WHEREAS,staff recommends award a construction contract to G.L. Contracting based on their <br /> bid and past performance constructing parks; and <br /> WHEREAS,recommended funding is from the Dedicated Parks Fund. <br /> NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes, hereby <br /> authorizes staff to enter into a construction contract with G.L. Contracting of Medina,MN. <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Lino Lakes this 23rd day of May, 2022. <br /> The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was introduced by Councilmember <br /> Ruhland and was duly seconded by Councilmember Cavegn and upon vote being taken <br /> thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Ruhland, Cavegn, Stoesz, Rafferty <br /> The following voted against same: None (Absent- Lyden) <br /> Ro'Wkafferty, yor <br /> ATTEST: <br /> JuMiann' <br /> Bartell, City lerk <br />
