Charter Commissioner Gunderson introduced the following resolution and moved its <br /> adoption: <br /> LINO LAKES CHARTER COMMISSION <br /> ITEM <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 12-01 <br /> RESOLUTION REQUESTING ADDITIONAL STATUTORY TIME PERIOD <br /> FOR CHARTER COMMISSION TO ACT ON CHARTER AMENDMENT ISSUE. <br /> Whereas,the City Council presented to the Charter Commission on, March 13, <br /> 2012 a potential amendment to Section 8 of the City's Charter. The Charter Commission <br /> has used their initial 60 days to study said potential amendment. <br /> Whereas,the Charter Commission has determined that more time is required to <br /> fully explore the issue of an amendment to the City Charter. Under the authority of MN <br /> Statutes §410.12, subdivision 5,the Charter Commission may be granted, upon request, <br /> an additional 90 days to respond to the potential amendment. <br /> Whereas,the Charter Commission is formally requesting this additional time <br /> period of 90 days from City Council under the authority of MN Statutes §410.12 <br /> subd.(5). <br /> NOW THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED that the Lino Lakes Charter <br /> Commission hereby requests the statutory 90 day time extension set out in MN Statutes <br /> §410.12, subd.
