CITY OF LINO LAKES <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 22-72 <br /> APPROVING APPLICATION FOR A TEMPORARY ON-SALE LIQUOR LICENSE <br /> AND A SPECIAL EVENT FOR THE AMERICAN LEGION FAMILY BLUE HERON <br /> DAYS EVENTS AUGUST 19—20, 2022 <br /> WHEREAS, the Commander of American Legion Post 566 has submitted an application for a <br /> special event permit; and <br /> WHEREAS, the event plan includes live music outside from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, <br /> August 19, and Saturday, August 20, 2022; and <br /> WHEREAS, applicant has indicated that all patrons or members attending the event will receive <br /> a proper identification check to ensure no underage alcohol service will occur; and <br /> WHEREAS, applicant will ensure that event is compliant with City Ordinance 901.03 (4a) Public <br /> Nuisances Affecting Peace and Safety; and <br /> WHEREAS, proof of general liability insurance has been submitted by the American Legion to <br /> cover all events held on their property as well as the event held on city property; <br /> WHEREAS, the Lino Lakes Public Safety Department has the following conditions: <br /> (1) Applicant will provide security on premise ensuring there is no violations of laws <br /> and ordinances or disruptive behavior. <br /> (2) Applicant will provide all staff and/or volunteers working this event with training <br /> that focuses on prevention of over service of alcohol and other means to safely serve <br /> customers. <br /> (3) Plans for sound control and sound amplification, if any, including number, location, <br /> and power of amplifiers and speakers; all reasonably necessary precautions shall be <br /> taken by the applicant to insure that the sound of the assembly will not carry <br /> unreasonably beyond the enclosed boundaries of the location of the assembly. <br /> (4) Plans to meet the requirements of the State Fire Code, including but not limited to <br /> the following: <br /> i. Minimum of three 2A1013C fire extinguishers need to be on location in the <br /> tent area; <br /> ii. "No Smoking" signs need to be displayed throughout the area. <br /> iii. No pyrotechnics are allowed. <br /> iv. No parking within 20 feet of the tent. Measured from stakes. <br /> v. Clearance to property line needed to 20 feet. Measured from stakes; <br /> vi. Certificate of flame retardant for all panels of tent. <br /> (5) Telephone service shall be in place sufficient to connect to emergency services. <br /> (6) Event will end as articulated in the application. <br /> WHEREAS, all trash and cans from the event shall be cleaned up by the next morning both <br /> days. <br />
