Custom Fire Apparatus, Inc. <br />The cab shall be constructed of 5052-H32 corrosion resistant aluminum plate. The cab shall incorporate <br />tongue and groove fitted 6061-T6 0.13 & 0.19 inch thick aluminum extrusions for extreme duty <br />situations. A single formed, one (1) piece extrusion shall be used for the "A" pillar, adding strength and <br />rigidity to the cab as well as additional roll-over protection. The cab side walls and lower roof skin shall <br />be 0.13 inch thick; the rear wall and raised roof skins shall be 0.09 inch thick; the front cab structure <br />shall be 0.19 inch thick. <br />The exterior width of the cab shall be 99.40 inches wide with a minimum interior width of 91.00 inches. <br />The overall cab length shall be 144.60 inches with 67.50 inches from the centerline of the front of the <br />axle to the back of the cab. <br />The cab interior shall be designed to afford the maximum usable interior space and attention to <br />ergonomics with hip and legroom while seated which exceeds industry standards. The crew cab floor <br />shall be flat across the entire walking area for ease of movement inside the cab. <br />The cab shall offer an interior height of 57.50 inches from the front floor to the headliner and a rear floor <br />to headliner height of 79.00 inches in the raised roof area, at a minimum. The cab shall offer an interior <br />measurement at the floor level from the rear of the engine tunnel to the rear wall of the cab of 63.38 <br />inches. All interior measurements shall include the area within the interior trimmed surfaces and not to <br />any unfinished surface. <br />The cab shall include a driver and officer area with two (2) cab doors large enough for personnel in full <br />firefighting gear. The front doors shall offer a clear opening of 40.25 inches wide X 53.50 inches high, <br />from the cab floor to the top of the door opening. The cab shall also include a crew area with up to two <br />(2) cab doors, also large enough for personnel in full firefighting gear. The rear doors shall offer a <br />clear opening of 32.25 inches wide X 71.00 inches high, from the cab floor to the top of the door <br />opening. <br />The cab shall incorporate a progressive two (2) step configuration from the ground to the cab floor at <br />each door opening. The progressive steps are vertically staggered and extend the full width of each step <br />well allowing personnel in full firefighting gear to enter and exit the cab easily and safely. <br />The first step for the driver and officer area shall measure approximately 11.50 inches deep X 31.13 <br />inches wide. The intermediate step shall measure approximately 8.50 inches deep X 32.50 inches wide. <br />The height from the first step to the intermediate step and the intermediate step to the cab floor shall not <br />exceed 11.00 inches. <br />The first step for the crew area shall measure approximately 11.50 inches deep X 20.44 inches wide. The <br />intermediate step shall measure approximately 10.25 inches deep X 22.75 inches wide. The height from <br />the first step to the intermediate step and the intermediate step to the cab floor shall not exceed 12.80 <br />inches. <br />CAB FRONT FASCIA <br />The front cab fascia shall be constructed of 5052-H32 Marine Grade, 0.13 of an inch thick aluminum <br />plate which shall be an integral part of the cab. <br />07/26/22 <br />-9- <br />
