Custom Fire Apparatus, Inc. <br />The left and right sides of the pump panel hood extension shall include a 16.00 inch wide X 16.00 inch <br />tall window. These windows shall be fixed within this space. The windows shall be square and be <br />mounted using black self-locking window rubber. <br />GLASS TINT UPPER SIDE REAR PUMP PANEL HOOD EXTENSION <br />The windows located on the left and right sides of the pump panel hood extension shall include a <br />standard green automotive tint which shall allow seventy-five percent (75%) light transmittance. <br />GLASS REAR WALL CENTER <br />The window at the center rear wall of the cab shall be omitted from the cab extension. <br />CLIMATE CONTROL <br />A ceiling mounted combination defroster and cabin heating and air conditioning system shall be located <br />above the engine tunnel area. The system covers and plenums shall be of severe duty design made of <br />aluminum which shall be coated with a customer specified interior paint. The design of the system's <br />covers shall provide quick access to washable air intake filters as well as easy access to other serviceable <br />items. <br />The air delivery plenums provide targeted airflow directly to the vehicle occupants. Six (6) adjustable <br />louvers will provide comfort for the front seat occupants and ten (10) adjustable louvers will provide <br />comfort for the rear crew occupants. <br />The system shall be capable of producing up to 12 FPM of air velocity at all occupant seating positions. <br />Separate front and rear blower motors shall be of brushless design and shall be controlled independently. <br />It shall be capable of reducing the interior cabin air temperature from 122' F (+/- 3° F) to 80' F in thirty <br />minutes with 50% relative humidity and full solar load as described in SAE J2646. <br />The system shall also provide heater pull up performance which meets or exceeds the performance <br />requirements of SAE J1612 as well as defrost performance that meets or exceeds the performance <br />requirements of SAE J381. <br />A gravity drain system shall be provided that is capable of evacuating condensate from the vehicle while <br />on a slope of up to a 13% grade in any direction. <br />The air conditioning system plumbing shall be a mixture of custom bent zinc coated steel fittings and <br />Aeroquip flexible hose with Aeroquip EZ-Clip fittings. <br />The overhead heater/defroster plumbing shall include an electronic flow control valve that re -directs hot <br />coolant away from the evaporator, via a bypass loop, as the temperature control is moved toward the cold <br />position. <br />All defrost/heating systems shall be plumbed with one (1) seasonal shut-off valve at the front corner on <br />the right side of the cab. There shall be one (1) additional seasonal shut-off valve located adjacent to the <br />first valve for a total of two (2) shutoff valves, one (1) in each heater/defroster coolant hose.
