Rear drop -down door is to be 36" <br />wide by at least 12" high. <br />The rear compartment is to be fully enclosed and weather sealed, equipped with a "sweep/wash-out" <br />floor, which is raised at least V above the compartment door sill. <br />REAR COMPARTMENT DOOR, HORIZONTALLY HINGED, DROP -DOWN <br />The following specified compartment door shall be "flush" with exterior rear body panel and integral <br />door jambs, fabricated double panel design with perimeter door jamb hollow core clip -on replaceable <br />weather-stripping. <br />The rear body door panels shall be fabricated with double -broke inboard flanges at doorway sides and <br />top. Striker pins, for use with specified compartment door rotary latches, shall be positioned one (1) left <br />door jamb and one (1) in right door jamb. Striker pins to be of minimum length so as to not obstruct door <br />opening. Striker pins shall be threaded stud type, stainless steel or cadmium plated hardened steel, easily <br />accessible for removal. <br />Rear compartment door shall be U-formed, with triple -broke perimeter flanges, fabricated of polished <br />4-way aluminum treadplate. A removable full size inner door liner shall be fabricated of matching <br />treadplate aluminum. Inner door liner shall be caulked with silicone sealant prior to assembly, held in <br />place with "flush" stainless steel replaceable fasteners (not self -tapping screws or thread tapped flange <br />screws). Inner door cavity, between exterior door pan and removable inner liner shall be packed with <br />sound deadening automotive sheet foam material. Door shall be of the "flush design" to custom fit the <br />door opening, without overlapping exterior door perimeter body panels. A single D-ring Hansen 102L <br />polished stainless steel slam type door handle, that unlatches counter -clockwise shall be furnished, with <br />D-ring bent outward for better grasp, and a latch integral mechanism spring -loaded to return to horizontal <br />position. <br />Two (2) cadmium plated "rotary -slam" automatic door latches shall be furnished, mounted one (1) left <br />and one (1) right of horizontally hinged compartment door. Neoprene rubber gasket shall be furnished, <br />protecting painted surface between door skin and latch assembly. Exterior door panel shall be smooth <br />with no welds or fasteners exposed. <br />The compartment door hinge shall be full length piano style type 304 stainless steel with single piece <br />stainless steel hinge pin. Exposed piano hinge knuckles shall be "machine buffed" to a chrome -like high <br />lustrous finish. Piano hinge shall be bolted to door and sweep -out bottom door jamb using stainless steel <br />button socket head cap screws and Ny-Lok stainless steel self-locking nuts. <br />COMPARTMENT FLOOR TILES, SECTIONAL VINYL FLOOR TILE <br />Vinyl 12" x 12" sectional floor tiles are to be provided, custom fitted to the perimeter profile of the <br />interior floor surfaces of the driver's side, passenger's side, and rear compartments, seven (7) total. <br />07/26/22 <br />- 122 - <br />
