Custom Fire Apparatus, Inc. <br />For superior strength and service -ability the entire ladder assembly shall be constructed of fabricated 304 <br />grade brushed stainless steel and assembled using .25" coated stainless steel fasteners and Nylock nuts. <br />Welding shall not be used in the construction. <br />Ladder shall be equipped with dual vertical knurled tubular aluminum hand rails on upper section. <br />A bottom ladder section shall be furnished which flips 180-degrees down below tailboard level for <br />improved access to ladder. <br />Ladder shall fit vertically along rear body surface when stowed and swing out to provide angular <br />climbing surface. Dual compressed gas struts shall be incorporated into movement of ladder. Manual <br />latches shall not be required in the operation of ladder. <br />Step depth, tread, and spacing shall be NFPA compliant. <br />FULL HOSE BED WIDTH REAR BODY STEP, STAINLESS STEEL <br />A full hose bed width "bolt -on" (rear body panel) surface mounted rear body step fabrication is to be <br />furnished, located between rear body corners, at a height of 2" below top surface of the hose bed <br />gratings. Rear step to be fabricated of brushed stainless steel, at least 8" deep, bolted in position and <br />removable. Outboard sides of the rear step is to angle inboard 45-degrees.
