The climate control system shall include a gravity drain for water management. The gravity drain shall <br />remove condensation from the air conditioning system without additional mechanical assistance. <br />CLIMATE CONTROL ACTIVATION <br />The heating, defrosting and air conditioning controls shall be in the center dash center switch panel, in a <br />position which is easily accessible to the driver. The climate control shall be activated by a rotary <br />switch. <br />HVAC OVERHEAD COVER PAINT <br />The overhead HVAC cover shall be painted with the same color paint as the primary exterior cab color <br />or the lower exterior color of the cab if a two-tone. <br />AUXILIARY CLIMATE CONTROL FRONT UNDERSEAT <br />Two (2) 13,500 BTU heaters shall be provided and installed in the face of the seat riser storage area for <br />the left and right front seats, one (1) each side. The heater fan controls shall be individual switches <br />located in the rocker switch area of the dash. <br />The auxiliary heater system hoses shall be silicone with stainless steel constant torque clamps approved <br />for use with silicone hose. All defrost/heating systems shall be plumbed with one (1) seasonal shut-off <br />valve at the front corner on the right side of the cab. The cab must be tilted to access the shut-off valve. <br />HEATER HOSE INSULATION <br />The heater hoses leading from the engine to the cab shall include a foam insulation wrap which runs the <br />length of the hose improving heating in extreme cold climates. The heater hoses which shall be routed <br />inside the cab shall not be insulated. <br />A/C CONDENSER LOCATION <br />A roof mounted A/C condenser shall be installed centered on the cab forward of the raised roof against <br />the slope rise. <br />A/C COMPRESSOR <br />The air-conditioning compressor shall be a belt driven, engine mounted compressor. The compressor <br />shall be compatible with R134-a refrigerant. <br />"The chassis manufacturer recommends that the overall climate system performance be based off <br />third party testing in accordance with the Society of Automotive Engineering standards as a complete <br />system. <br />Individual component level ratings are not an accurate indicator of the performance capability of the <br />completed system. <br />Refrigerant Compressor displacement: 19.1 cubic inches per revolution. <br />UNDER CAB INSULATION <br />The underside of the cab tunnel surrounding the engine shall be lined with multi -layer insulation, <br />engineered for application inside diesel engine compartments. <br />
