COUNCIL MINUTES <br /> APPROVED <br /> 39 F) Consider Resolution No. 22-73, Approving an Application <br /> 40 for a Special Event Permit to Living Waters Lutheran Church <br /> 41 Summer Outdoor Concert Approved <br /> 42 G) Approve the Hiring of Part-Time Staff for The Rookery Approved <br /> 43 FINANCE DEPARTMENT REPORT <br /> 44 There was no report from the Finance Department. <br /> 45 ADMINISTRATION DEPARTMENT REPORT <br /> 46 3A) Consider Approval of Police Officer—Public Safety Director Swenson reviewed the written <br /> 47 staff report. Staff is recommended the appointment of Zachary Beddow to a vacant police officer <br /> 48 position. Mr. Beddow has served for some time as a community service officer and has recently <br /> 49 finished his schooling and POST licensing requirements. <br /> 50 Mayor Rafferty remarked that the CSO program has proven to be a good program for recruitment of <br /> 51 City police officer positions. <br /> 52 Councilmember Cavegn moved to approve the appointment of Zachary Beddow as recommended. <br /> 53 Councilmember Ruhland seconded the motion. Motion carried on a voice vote. <br /> 54 PUBLIC SAFETY DEPARTMENT REPORT <br /> 55 4A) Approval of School Resource Officer Contract—Public Safety Director Swenson reviewed <br /> 56 the written staff report. The contract recommended would be multi-year, different from the past and <br /> 57 thanks to work done with the school district. The cost of the officer is paid by the school district. <br /> 58 Councilmember Ruhland moved to approve the contract as recommended. Councilmember Lyden <br /> 59 seconded the motion. Motion carried on a voice vote. <br /> 60 PUBLIC SERVICES DEPARTMENT REPORT <br /> 61 There was no report from the Public Services Department. <br /> 62 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT REPORT <br /> 63 There was no report from the Community Development Department. <br /> 64 UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br /> 65 There was no Unfinished Business. <br /> 66 <br /> 67 NEW BUSINESS <br /> 68 There was no New Business. <br /> 69 <br /> 70 COMMUNITY EVENTS <br /> 71 There were no events announced. <br /> 72 <br /> 73 <br /> 74 <br /> 2 <br />
