CITY COUNCIL <br />AGENDA ITEM 3A <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: Meg Sawyer, Human Resources and Communications Manager <br />MEETING DATE: August 22, 2022 <br />TOPIC: Consider Appointment of Public Services Administrative <br />Assistant <br />VOTE REQUIRED: 3/5 <br />INTRODUCTION <br />The Council is being asked to approve the appointment of Angela Thorson to the <br />Administrative Assistant position for the Public Services department. <br />BACKGROUND <br />At this time staff has completed the recruitment process, provided a conditional offer, and is <br />recommending the approval of Angela Thorson for the position. <br />Thorson has worked for Readex Research in Stillwater for over 20 years in various office <br />positions. <br />The hourly rate of pay would be $26.02, which is step 1 of the current 6 step wage schedule. <br />With the Council's approval, Thorson would start in the position of Public Services <br />Administrative Assistant on September 6, 2022. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Please approve the appointment of Angela Thorson for the Public Services Administrative <br />Assistant position. <br />
