CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 22-91 <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PREPARATION OF PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS <br />WATER TREATMENT PLANT NO. 1 <br />WHEREAS, the City Council finds that while the City's water supply continues to meet all Safe <br />Drinking Water Act standards, tests identified manganese levels above Minnesota Department of <br />Health (MDH) guidelines; and <br />WHEREAS, a feasibility study and pilot study ordered by the City Council provided recommended <br />treatment options to remove manganese and iron in the City water supply; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it would be in the best interest of the City to proceed with <br />the preparation of plans and specifications for the Water Treatment Plant No. 1: <br />WHEREAS, WSB, the City Engineer, has submitted a proposal to prepare plans and specifications. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes: <br />WSB and Associates, Inc., is hereby designated as the engineer for this improvement. <br />The engineer shall prepare plans and specifications for the making of such <br />improvement. <br />2. City staff is authorized to execute a professional services agreement with WSB and <br />Associate, Inc., in the amount, not to exceed, $696,940.00 <br />Adopted by the Council of the City of Lino Lakes this 22" d day of August, 2022. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was introduced by Council Member <br />and was duly seconded by Council Member and upon <br />vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />The following voted against same: <br />Rob Rafferty, Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br />Julianne Bartell, City Clerk <br />
