CITY COUNCIL <br /> AGENDA ITEM 1F <br /> STAFF ORIGINATOR: Julie Bartell, City Clerk <br /> MEETING DATE: November 14, 2022 <br /> TOPIC: Consider Resolution No. 22-135, Approving an Application <br /> for a Special Permit for the Centerville Lions <br /> Christmas in the Park Event <br /> VOTE REQUIRED: Simple Majority(3/5 Vote Required) <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> Nancy Johnson of the Centerville Lions has applied for a Special Event Permit related to <br /> the groups upcoming Christmas in the Park event on December 10, 2022. Most of the <br /> event will be held at LaMotte Park in Centerville but the group proposes to have a horse <br /> drawn trailer procession on LaMotte Drive in Lino Lakes. <br /> The application has been reviewed by staff, including the Public Safety Department and <br /> no public safety concerns have been identified. <br /> Therefore, staff is presenting for city council consideration of a resolution authorizing the <br /> issuance of a Special Event Permit to the Centerville Lions for the event. <br /> RECOMMENDATION: <br /> Approve Resolution No. 22-135 authorizing issuance of a Special Event Permit to <br /> Centerville Lions, Christmas in the Park <br /> ATTACHMENT: <br /> Resolution No. 22-135 <br />
