LOT WIDTH. The horizontal distance between the side lot line of a lot measured at the front <br />building setback line and parallel to the front lot line. If the front lot line is curved, such as on a <br />cul-de-sac, the lot width is measured along a line parallel to a tangent to the front lot line. <br />MANUFACTURED HOME. A manufactured home means a structure, transportable in one <br />or more sections, which in the traveling mode is eight (8) body feet or more in width, or 40 body <br />feet or more in length, or, when erected on side, is 320 or more square feet. It is built on a <br />permanent chassis and designed to be used as a dwelling with or without permanent foundation <br />when connected to the required utilities, and includes the plumbing, heating, air conditioning, and <br />electrical systems contained therein. The term includes any structure which meets all the <br />requirements and with respect to which the manufacturer voluntarily files a certificate required by <br />the Secretary of the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development and complies <br />with the standards established under M. S. §327 including the Manufactured Home Building Code <br />adopted therein. <br />MANUFACTURED HOME SUBDIVISION. A subdivision designed and/or intended for <br />the sale of lots for residential occupancy by manufactured homes. <br />MANUFACTURED HOME LOT. A plot of land for placement of a single manufactured <br />home within a manufactured home park. <br />MANUFACTURED HOME PARK. Any site, lot, field or tract of land upon which two (2) <br />or more occupied manufactured homes are located, either free of charge or for compensation, and <br />includes any buildings or structures used or intended for use as part of the equipment of the <br />manufactured home park. <br />MANUFACTURING. An establishment engaged in the indoor manufacturing, assembly, <br />fabrication, packaging or other industrial processing, primarily from previously prepared <br />materials, or the indoor provision of industrial services, where there are few external effects across <br />lot lines. This term includes but is not limited to a business engaged in the processing, fabrication, <br />assembly, treatment, or packaging of food, textile, leather, wood, paper, chemical, plastic, or metal <br />products. <br />MASS TRANSIT TERMINAL. The property, equipment and improvements owned, used, <br />constructed, maintained, controlled, or operated to provide mass transportation for passengers or <br />to provide for the movement of people, including park -and -ride stations, transfer stations and <br />parking lots. <br />MICRODISTILLERIES. A distillery operated within the state producing premium, distilled <br />spirits in total quantity not to exceed 40,000 proof gallons in a calendar year, which distillery is <br />licensed under Minnesota Statutes section 340A. <br />MOBILE HOME. A single family detached dwelling unit or other structure designed for <br />year-round occupancy constructed at a factory or assembly plant and drawn to the site on a <br />permanently attached undercarriage and wheels. Mobile homes should not include all types of <br />manufactured homes as defined herein. <br />26 <br />
