2023 Budget <br />John Deere 4100 Compact Tractor W/ AƩachments <br />$20,000 <br />This compact tractor has been used in the <br />Parks Dept. for over 20 years and has been <br />a workhorse in the maintenance and prepa- <br />ration of ball fields, grooming, seeding, ferti- <br />lizing and aerating the turf and park grass <br />areas. Thus far this machine has been relia- <br />ble. With almost 2200 hours of use the trac- <br />tor has served its purpose and is at the end <br />of its life cycle in the current Capital Im- <br />provement Plan. <br />The Parks Department is seeking <br />replacement for a comparable <br />tractor with a groomer and tiller. <br />The new purchase will require no <br />additional maintenance or upkeep <br />and will still carry the same work <br />load of grooming ballfields and <br />maintaining the turf and grass ar- <br />eas. With the addition of a tiller <br />the city will be able to maintain <br />weeded areas as well as prepare <br />new sites for seed. <br />87
