§ 1007.052 FARMING OPERATIONS. <br />All farms in existence upon the effective date of this ordinance and all farms which are brought <br />into the City by annexation shall be a permitted use. All dwelling units and structures for <br />processing of farm goods shall require a zoning permit and conform to all requirements of the <br />City Code. The City Council may require any new farm operation to secure a conditional use <br />permit in the event of the following: <br />(1) The farm is adjacent to or within 400 feet of any dwelling unit and may be detrimental <br />to living conditions by emitting noise, odors, vibrations, hazards to safety, and the like. <br />(2) The farming operations are so intensive as to constitute an industrial type use consisting <br />of the compounding, processing, and packaging of products for wholesale or retail trade and <br />further that such operations may tend to become permanent industrial type operation that cannot <br />be terminated as can a normal farming operation. <br />152 <br />
