CITY COUNCIL <br /> AGENDA ITEM 3C <br /> STAFF ORIGINATOR: Sarah Cotton, City Administrator <br /> MEETING DATE: December 12, 2022 <br /> TOPIC: Appointment of Interim City Clerk <br /> VOTE REQUIRED: 3/5 <br /> INTRODUCTION <br /> The City Council is being asked to consider Resolution 22-155,Authorizing the Appointment of <br /> Hannah Lynch as Interim City Clerk. <br /> BACKGROUND <br /> The Lino Lakes City Charter requires the Council to appoint a City Clerk. The City Clerk should <br /> report directly to the City Administrator and have the duties and responsibilities determined by <br /> applicable state law and city ordinances. <br /> City Clerk, Julie Bartell will be retiring from the city effective December 31, 2022. In order to <br /> allow for a transition period until a permanent replacement can be identified and appointed by <br /> the Council, staff is recommending the interim appointment of Finance Director Hannah Lynch <br /> to the position. With this appointment, Hannah will have the ability to perform any and all <br /> functions the City Clerk might perform. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> Staff recommends approval of Resolution No. 22-155, Authorizing the Appointment of Hannah <br /> Lynch as Interim City Clerk. <br /> ATTACHMENTS <br /> Resolution No. 22-155 <br />
