Review Regular Council Agenda of December 12,2022 <br /> 16 <br /> 17 Consent Agenda— <br /> 18 <br /> 19 Item 1D—Election Polling Place Designation—Mayor Rafferty asked if there should be <br /> 20 any concern about continuing to use Fire Station No. 2 after a busy day and possible <br /> 21 parking issues for the General Election in 2022. City Clerk Bartell explained that the <br /> 22 2023 election will be a municipal only so turn out isn't anticipated to be especially high; <br /> 23 the facility should work fine for 2023. <br /> 24 <br /> 25 Item 3C—Administrator Cotton explained that the City Clerk is retiring and her duties <br /> 26 will be handled by current staff. Ms. Lynch will be authorized to sign documents as City <br /> 27 Clerk as necessary. <br /> 28 <br /> 29 Item 3E—Administrator Cotton explained that a tentative contract is before the council; <br /> 30 the council has been updated on the terms. <br /> 31 <br /> 32 Item 5A—Public Services Director DeGardner reviewed the written report. Mayor <br /> 33 Rafferty asked if residents were involved in the planning process and Mr. DeGardner said <br /> 34 there was an extensive process. Councilmember Stoesz said he reached out to Watermark <br /> 35 residents and he's afraid that there is some confusion on the deadline for comments and <br /> 36 the council may want to postpone this into January to ensure full community input; it's an <br /> 37 expensive project and waiting, even if it merits no changes, sends the message that the <br /> 38 City wants input. Public Service Director DeGardner expressed that there has been a lot <br /> 39 of public input and changes could result in the need for a new master plan. Director <br /> 40 DeGardner explained the process to date and the response that has occurred to hear the <br /> 41 public. Mayor Rafferty said he sees this going forward with an action at the council <br /> 42 meeting. <br /> 43 <br /> 44 The meeting was adjourned at 6:25 p.m. <br /> 1 <br />
