COUNCIL MINUTES <br /> APPROVED <br /> 49 A) Consider Appointment of Part-time Firefighter-Human Resources and Communications <br /> 50 Manager Sawyer gave a summary of her written Staff Report regarding the hiring of Joshua <br /> 51 Buganski, who has completed Firefighter 1 and 2, and has hazardous material training and <br /> 52 certification. With approval, Mr. Buganski would start on April 3, 2023. <br /> 53 <br /> 54 Councilmember Ruhland moved to approve appointment of Joshua Buganski as recommended. <br /> 55 Councilmember Cavegn seconded the motion. Motion carried on a voice vote. <br /> 56 <br /> 57 B) Consider Appointment of Paid On-Call Firefighter-Human Resources and Communications <br /> 58 Manager Sawyer gave a summary of her written Staff Report noting Ashley Rodvik would be <br /> 59 assigned to Fire Station#2 and will start on March 20, 2023. <br /> 60 <br /> 61 Councilmember Cavegn moved to approve appointment of Ashley Rodvik as recommended. <br /> 62 Councilmember Lyden seconded the motion. Motion carried on a voice vote. <br /> 63 <br /> 64 C) Consider Appointment of Custodial Worker-Human Resources and Communications <br /> 65 Manager Sawyer gave a summary of her written Staff Report noting Ryan McConville has over 10 <br /> 66 years of custodial experience and would start on March 14, 2023. <br /> 67 <br /> 68 Councilmember Cavegn moved to approve appointment of Ryan McConville as recommended. <br /> 69 Councilmember Ruhland seconded the motion. Motion carried on a voice vote. <br /> 70 <br /> 71 D) Consider Appointment of City Clerk- Human Resources and Communications Manager <br /> 72 Sawyer gave a summary of her written Staff Report noting Jolleen Chaika has over 15 years of <br /> 73 relevant experience. <br /> 74 <br /> 75 Councilmember Cavegn moved to approve appointment of Jolleen Chaika as recommended. <br /> 76 Councilmember Ruhland seconded the motion. Motion carried on a voice vote. <br /> 77 <br /> 78 PUBLIC SAFETY DEPARTMENT REPORT <br /> 79 <br /> 80 4A) Consider Donation of Bicycles,John Swenson- Public Safety Director Swenson reviewed <br /> 81 the written staff report noting Ordinance 213.07 authorizes the Public Safety Department to dispose <br /> 82 of unclaimed property and tonight he is seeking approval to donate eight bicycles to Bikes for Kids, <br /> 83 a non-profit in Anoka County. <br /> 84 <br /> 85 Councilmember Lyden moved to authorize the donation as presented. Councilmember Stoesz <br /> 86 seconded the motion. Motion carried on a voice vote. <br /> 87 <br /> 88 PUBLIC SERVICES DEPARTMENT REPORT <br /> 89 There was no report from the Public Services Department. <br /> 90 <br /> 91 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT REPORT <br /> 92 <br /> 93 6A) Consider 1st Reading of Ordinance No. 01-23 City Code Chapter 1010: Signs-City <br /> 94 Planner Larsen reviewed her written Staff Report and shared about content neutrality and that the City <br /> 95 is not to be regulating content of signage.
