CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mr. Grochala called the Economic Development Advisory Committee meeting to order at <br />8:00 a.m. on March 2, 2023. <br /> <br />2. APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> <br />Mr. Marchek made a motion to approve the January 5, 2023 meeting minutes. Motion was <br />supported by Mr. Vojtech. Motion carried 9-0. <br /> <br />3. DISCUSSION ITEMS <br /> <br />A. Housing Maintenance Assistance Program <br /> <br />Mr. Grochala presented the staff report. <br /> <br />The EDAC discussed establishing a housing maintenance program to assist low- <br />moderate income households at the January 2023 meeting. As discussed, the City has <br />$230,000 loan repayment that can be used for affordable housing programs. Staff has <br />generated some additional information to consider with the establishment of the <br />program. <br /> <br />Mr. Grochala discussed what current programs Anoka County had available to <br />homeowners for mound systems or connecting to City water payable by property taxes. <br />He also discussed Blaine’s Front Door program. <br /> <br />The Committee agreed that the loan money should be used for basic projects such as <br />roofing, siding, painting, gutters, windows, chimney repair, deck, porch, driveway,
