CITY OF LINO LAKES <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 23-40 <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING THE USE OF ALL-TERRAIN VEHICLES ON <br /> BLANCHARD BLVD. BY LYNGBLOMSTEN OF LINO LAKES ADDITION <br /> WHEREAS, staff of Lyngblomsten at Lino Lakes Addition have requested to use <br /> motorized carts,which meet the definition of an All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV) as defined by <br /> Chapter 807.01 of the Code of Ordinances, to transport people throughout Lyngblomsten <br /> properties by traveling on the roadway surface of Blanchard Blvd, a public street within the <br /> Lyngblomsten at Lino Lakes Addition; and, <br /> WHEREAS, staff of Lyngblomsten have also requested to use motorized carts, which <br /> meet the same definition of an ATV, for utility and maintenance purposes throughout the <br /> Lyngblomsten properties by traveling on the roadway surface of Blanchard Blvd. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lino <br /> Lakes: <br /> That staff of Lyngblomsten at Lino Lakes Addition may use motorized carts on the <br /> roadway surface of Blanchard Blvd. to transport people and to provide utility and maintenance <br /> services throughout Lyngblomsten properties. <br /> That the use of motorized carts be limited to Blanchard Blvd. and all properties owned by <br /> Lyngblomsten at Lino Lakes Addition. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: <br /> That motorized golf carts and maintenance carts are to be operated on the roadway <br /> surface of Blanchard Blvd, not on a sidewalk or walkway used for pedestrian travel within the <br /> right-of-way. <br /> That Lyngblomsten must post signage at all entrances to the addition to warn motorists of <br /> slow-moving vehicles. <br /> That should the business name of Lyngblomsten at Lino Lakes Addition change,the <br /> same resolution shall apply to the succeeding company, located in the 6000 block of Blanchard <br /> Blvd. <br /> The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was introduced by Councilmember <br /> I-1)61t.✓t and was duly seconded by Councilmember S-FvC4Z- and upon vote <br /> being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: , S}oesz RAJ" s , <br /> The following voted against same: iq one, • <br /> ' •b R.fferty, Mayor <br /> ATTEST: <br /> Jolleen Chaika, City Clerk <br />
