Park Board <br />February 1, 2023 <br />page. 2 <br /> <br />DRAFT MINUTES <br /> <br />It was determined to eliminate the designated fitness area and incorporate a few fitness <br />components within the expanded playground area. <br />Mr. Bill Johnson from Northland Recreation has put together some concepts to review. <br /> <br /> <br />Mr. Rick DeGardner, Public Services Director, stated resident Mallory Humbert from the <br />Watermark development approved Mr. Johnson’s plan on January 30th. <br /> <br />Mr. Gooder asked if the park is handicapped accessible. Mr. DeGardner stated the park <br />is not 100% handicapped accessible but ADA complaint. <br /> <br />Mrs. Julie Cutts discussed the equipment budget and the fact that the fitness area and <br />playground equipment have been combined. <br /> <br />Mr. Gooder moved to approve the final design of Watermark Park. Motion seconded by <br />Mrs. Cutts. Motion carried 5 -0. <br /> <br />Three residents from the Watermark development attended the meeting. Matt Bechel, <br />Mallory Humbert, and Mike Bender. <br /> <br />Mrs. Humbert passed out a park equipment packet she developed (packet enclosed). The <br />packet included pricing from a different vendor. Mr. DeGardner stated that we have an <br />agreement with Northland Recreation. <br /> <br />Mr. Matt Bechel was not happy with the process. Feels like they haven’t had enough <br />time to provide feedback. <br /> <br />Mr. Huelman discussed the design process. <br /> <br />Mr. Gooder asked how we can get more residents’ involvement. <br />
