COUNCIL MINUTES <br />noted that there is quite a bit of time before we get to that point but that they will get that <br />information. <br />Councilmember Lyden noted appreciation for staff and community members coming <br />together to have these conversations. He also said that often times the cost of doing <br />something right the first time for more money is a better investment. <br /> The project is slated for spring of 2024. <br />i) Motion to: Approve Resolution 23-17 <br />6. COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT REPORT <br />A) Consider Resolution No. 23-43, Approving Agreement for the Acquisition of <br />Property – Water Treatment Plant <br />Community Development Director Michael Grochala presented his staff report and noted <br />that a purchase price has been agreed upon; execution of the purchase agreement is <br />underway and has been signed by property owners. <br />Mayor Rafferty thanked staff for the hard work on this project. <br />Councilmember Lyden inquired of the size of the land for this project. Director Grochala <br />noted that there is enough land for the plant with a little room for expansion and that this <br />plant and the land it is to be developed on will take care of water treatment plant needs <br />through 2040. <br />i) Motion to: Approve Resolution 23-43 <br /> <br />B) Consider 1st Reading of Ordinance No. 02-23, Amending City Code Chapter <br />405 Regarding Bulk Deicing Material Storage <br />Community Development Director Michael Grochala presented the first reading of an <br />ordinance amendment proposal to include a provision related to bulk deicing material <br />storage and the reason for the proposed amendment. The MS4 Permit requires that this <br />provision is included in ordinance.
