<br />CITY COUNCIL <br />AGENDA ITEM 6C <br /> <br /> <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: Diane Hankee, City Engineer <br /> <br />MEETING DATE: July 24, 2023 <br /> <br />TOPIC: Consider Resolution No. 23-74, Accepting Quotes and Awarding a <br />Construction Contract, 2023 Surface Water Management Project <br /> <br />VOTE REQUIRED: 3/5 Vote Required <br /> <br /> <br />INTRODUCTION <br /> <br />Staff is requesting authorization to accept quotes and award the construction contract for the <br />2023 Surface Water Management Project. <br /> <br />BACKGROUND <br /> <br />The City’s annual Surface Water Management Program (SWMP) addresses areas in need of <br />maintenance, and conforms to the City’s Surface Water Pollution and Prevention Plan. The City <br />will perform storm sewer repair and cleaning, vegetation removal, sediment removal, and pond <br />cleaning. This type of work is best completed in dry conditions or the winter season. <br /> <br />The 2023 Surface Water Management Project includes seven sites, shown in the table below: <br /> <br />Funding for the project is through the Stormwater Maintenance Fund and is within the annual <br />budget. <br /> <br />Quotes for the project were received on July 14, 2023. <br /> <br />CONTRACTOR TOTAL QUOTE <br />Arnt Construction Company, Inc. $191,385.00 <br />Dimke Excavating Inc. $139,800.00 <br />Fuhr Trenching Did Not Quote <br />North Pine Aggregate, Inc.
