<br />LINO LAKES CITY COUNCIL <br />WORK SESSION <br />MINUTES <br /> <br />DATE: June 26, 2023 <br />TIME STARTED: 6:01 PM <br />TIME ENDED: 6:23 PM <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: Councilmembers Stoesz, Lyden, Cavegn, Mayor <br />Rafferty <br />MEMBERS ABSENT: Councilmember Ruhland <br />Staff members present : City Administrator Sarah Cotton; Human Resources Director Meg <br />Sawyer; Community Development Director Michael Grochala; Public Safety Director John <br />Swenson; City Engineer Diane Hankee; City Clerk Jolleen Chaika. <br /> <br />1. Consider Temporary Addition Part-Time CSO, John Swenson <br />Chief Jo hn Swenson advised Council of a CSO being considered for future hiring that Public <br />Safety would like to bring forward as a part-time Community Service Officer (CSO) as a <br />current CSO is beginning to transition out of the role. As such, he sought Council approval to <br />increase CSO staffing from three (3) positions to four (4) on a temporary basis through <br />October. <br /> <br />Councilmember Stoesz requested clarification of the hours per week for CSO staff. Chief <br />Swenson confirmed that the CSO’s typically work 20 hours per week. <br /> <br />Council provided support for Public Safety bringing forward a formal staffing request. <br /> <br />2. Review Regular Agenda <br />Mayor Rafferty reviewed the agenda for the Regular Meeting. Staff provided brief comments <br />highlighting information contained within staff reports. <br /> <br />The Council Work Session ended at 6:23 PM. <br /> <br /> <br />These minutes were considered and approved at the regular Council Meeting on July 24, 2023. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Jolleen Chaika, City Clerk Rob Rafferty, Mayor <br />
