CITY COUNCIL <br />AGENDA ITEM 6B <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: Diane Hankee, City Engineer <br />MEETING DATE: August 28, 2023 <br />TOPIC: Prohibiting Parking on Both Sides of Lake Drive (CSAH 23) between <br />Aqua Lane and Main Street <br />VOTE REQUIRED: 3/5 Vote Required <br />INTRODUCTION <br />Staff is requesting approval of the No Parking Resolution for Both Sides of Lake Drive (CSAH 23) <br />between Aqua Lane and Main Street. <br />BACKGROUND <br />Lake Drive (CSAH 23) is designated as a Principal Arterial. Principal Arterials are designed to <br />carry longer trips at higher speeds with minimal land access. Staff held a meeting with public safety <br />and Anoka County highway staff to discuss the current traffic volumes, access and safety concerns <br />and are recommending that the City prohibit parking on Lake Drive between Aqua Lane and Main <br />Street. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff is recommending adoption of Resolution No. 23-85 Prohibiting Parking on Both Sides of Lake <br />Drive (CSAH 23) between Aqua Lane and Main Street. <br />ATTACHMENTS <br />1.
