CITY OF LINO LAKES <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 23-89 <br /> AUTHORIZING PREPARATION OF A FEASIBILITY REPORT FOR MUNICIPAL <br /> SEWER AND WATER EXTENSION ASSOICATED WITH THE 2024 STREET <br /> RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution 23-58 the City Council approved a 5 year Street <br /> Reconstruction Plan that would be funded through street reconstruction bonds, and <br /> WHEREAS, The City is proposing to reconstruct the Pine Haven Area including 81st Street, <br /> Elbe Street, Danube Street and the Red Maple Lane neighborhood, and <br /> WHEREAS,the City Council finds it is in the best interest of the City to consider the extension <br /> of sanitary sewer and water utilities within these neighborhoods at the time of reconstruction, <br /> and to assess the benefited property for all or a portion of the cost of the utility extension, <br /> pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429 and the City Charter, and <br /> WHEREAS,the number of benefitted property owners is estimated at 59 and will be determined <br /> as part of the report. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes: <br /> That the City Council directs staff to prepare a feasibility report to include the number of <br /> benefitted property owners and all necessary project costs in both unit price and in total for all <br /> components of the project including, but not limited to, the extension of sanitary sewer and water <br /> utilities. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED That the proposed improvement be referred to WSB and <br /> Associates, Inc., for study and that they are instructed to report to the council with all convenient <br /> speed advising the council in a preliminary way as to whether the proposed improvement is <br /> necessary,cost-effective,and feasible;whether it should best be made as proposed or in connection <br /> with some other improvement; the estimated cost of the improvement as recommended; and a <br /> description of the methodology used to calculate individual assessments for affected parcels. <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Lino Lakes this 28th day of August, 2023. <br /> I. f ,1LWtN <br /> R%• ' .fferty, Mayor <br /> ATTEST: <br /> Jolleen Chaika, City Clerk <br />
