The plow truck has been pushed out for replacement over the <br />last few years. This is a critical piece of equipment in the snow removal process and is responsible for clearing 1/5 of city <br />roads of snow. The operation conditions of the power truck are consistently in the ice, salt, and snow. The trucks are <br />operated under heavy working loads with full dump boxes, plow, and wing. The trucks are operated in a constant working <br />condition while pushing snow. Truck breakdowns and unreliability of the equipment are becoming concerns especially <br />during snow emergencies.
