MINDSET PILOT <br />•6 members LLPD participated Mindset Coaching program: <br />−4 Officers <br />−1 Sergeant <br />−1 Command Staff <br />•Goals: <br />−Uncover individual "core" needs <br />−Build resilience and personal satisfaction <br />•The LLPD pilot group noted numerous benefits, such as: <br />−Having a list of what’s most important to them personally and having strategies to fill their buckets <br />−More strategies at their fingertips for self-care <br />−A sense of more control to show up with a productive and positive attitude <br />−Time to dig deep and really reflect on what makes them happy, and how important each of those things are for their own satisfaction in and out of work <br />•Attending to one’s core needs more often (versus waiting until the big vacation, or major life events that tend to be spaced apart, or retirement) tends to lead to more happiness and engagement –and happier, healthier officers engage their communities in healthier, more effective ways!
