1 <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />WORK SESSION STAFF REPORT <br />ITEM NO. 9 <br />STAFF ORGINATOR: Michael Grochala, Community Development Director <br />DATE OF WORK SESSION: October 2, 2023 <br />TOPIC: Water Treatment Plant Architectural Design Committee <br />______________________________________________________________________________ <br />BACKGROUND <br />The City Council authorized preparation of Plans and Specifications in August of 2022. WSB is <br />working through the floor plan and has reached a point to begin discussions on exterior design. <br />City staff will be working with Oertel Architects to develop the building’s exterior architectural <br />elements. To streamline the approval process staff would like to establish a design committee <br />that includes two council members. The first meeting is planned for the afternoon of Monday, <br />October 9. We anticipate 2 -3 meetings with the design team. <br />REQUESTED COUNCIL DIRECTION <br />Staff is requesting that the City Council designate two members to serve on the design <br />committee. <br />ATTACHMENTS <br />1.None.
