<br />4 <br /> <br />Ms. Cutts asked Mr. DeGardner if the playground equipment is smaller, could they cost <br />less than $80,000. DeGardner said yes, the price could be lower. <br /> <br />Mr. DeGardner gave examples of how parks have been put together in the past. <br /> <br />Park Board member John Nordlund recommends finishing the Lino Park shelter. Mr. <br />Nordlund asked Mr. DeGardner what it would cost to line the tennis courts for <br />pickleball? DeGardner said under $1,000. <br /> <br />Mr. Kusterman made a Motion to ask City Council for $270,000. Park Board would like <br />to update Brandywood Park, Birchwood Acres Park, and add a new shelter at Lino Lakes <br />Park. Motion was supported by Mr. Gooder. Motion carried 6-0. <br /> <br />Mr. Gooder would like to redo three parks a year plus add pickleball courts. <br /> <br />Mr. DeGardner confirmed potential projects listed by the Park Board. <br />7. NEW BUSINESS <br /> <br />A. Blue Heron Days Volunteers Needed <br />Staff continues preparing for the Blue Heron Days Celebration scheduled August 18-21, <br />2022. We are seeking volunteers to assist running a variety of kid’s activities on <br />Saturday, August 21 between 12:00pm – 4:00pm. We are requesting all Park Board <br />members consider signing up for a one-hour shift! <br /> <br />8. NEXT SCHEDULED PARK BOARD MEETING <br /> <br />Wednesday, September 7, 2022 <br /> <br />9.
