Park Board <br />October 4, 2023 <br />pg. 4 <br /> <br /> <br />DRAFT MINUTES <br /> <br />Mr. Huelman discussed how large the City of Lino Lakes park system is. Would like to <br />find out what the resident's expectations are. <br /> <br />Mr. Kusterman would like to give the City Council a budget of what the Park Board <br />would need each year to update the 20 parks. <br /> <br />Mr. DeGardner discussed past decisions regarding the development of the city parks. <br /> <br />Mrs. Ballering would like to concentrate on making the budget larger. Mr. Huelman <br />discussed other resources for funding. <br /> <br />Mr. Gooder asked if we receive tax money from new businesses. <br /> <br />Mr. Kusterman asked what step of the process the city is at with the 2024 budget. Thinks <br />we should come up with a number per resident, not a large budget number. <br /> <br />Mrs. Schmidt discussed making friends and partnering with groups. <br /> <br />Mrs. Ballering discussed the survey questions that the Park Board created. <br /> <br />Mr. Huelman stated a three-step solution for the future allocated budget. Would like to <br />discuss the Park Board's needs with the City Council during a work session. <br /> <br />Mrs. Schmidt discussed what happens if we don’t receive the budget needed. <br /> <br />Mr. Kusterman wants to know where the $90,000 budget came from. <br /> <br />B. Scarecrow Crawl <br />Mr. DeGardner discussed the upcoming Scarecrow Crawl being held at the Rookery <br />Activity Center. <br /> <br />9.
