7. Dishonesty in the performance of duties. <br />8. Conviction of a crime directly related to the employee’s position with the City. <br />9. Making false or misleading statements while conducting City business, or falsifying <br />timesheets, reports, records, or documents. <br />10. Excessive tardiness or absenteeism, or abuse of leave. <br />The particular dismissal, demotion or suspension shall be based on the facts and circumstances <br />involved. The City may take disciplinary action while pursuing criminal prosecution against an <br />employee. <br /> <br />9.4 Severance Pay <br />Employees who have completed 10 years of service with the City and who leave employment in <br />good standing shall receive severance pay equaling one-half of unused sick leave hours at their <br />current hourly rate of pay.
