The City of Shoreview provided comments and suggested using acoustic fence buffering, <br />screening and/or site treatment be required. <br /> <br />Environmental Board <br /> <br />The Environmental Board reviewed the proposal on October 25, 2023. Staff and the Board <br />provided comments regarding tree species to plant if the north lot line fence is not required. <br /> <br />Planning & Zoning Board <br /> <br />The Planning & Zoning Board held a public hearing on November 8, 2023. The Board had the <br />following general comments: <br /> <br />North Lot Line Fence <br /> <br />• The Board supported not requiring the fence with the condition that the landscape plan <br />be revised by a professional landscape architect. <br /> <br />Pickleball Court <br /> <br />• General concern about noise <br />• Add more trees east of court <br />• Add code lock to gate to regulate hours and who can use the court <br />• No lighting <br />• Possibility of moving court north and east <br />• How many tenants will use court? <br />• Add acoustic panels <br />• Should a noise study be completed? <br />• Are there other locations on site the court could be constructed? <br />• Against court due to location and noise concerns <br /> <br />During the public hearing, residents had the following general comments: <br /> <br />North Lot Line Fence <br /> <br />• Residents at 268 Rohavic Lane, 283 Hammerly Court, 298 Rohavic, 263 Hammerly Court, <br />258 Rohavic Lane did not want the fence installed. <br />• Petition signed by 12 residents along Hammerly Court opposing the fence was read. <br />• General consensus to not require the fence with condition that additional landscaping is <br />added. <br />• On November 14, 2023, staff received an email from 298 Rohavic Lane suggesting a row <br />of arborvitaes be planted along their lot line. Staff suggests Lyngblomsten reach out to <br />the property owner prior to submitting a revised landscape plan. <br />6
