<br /> <br />LINO LAKES CITY COUNCIL <br />WORK SESSION <br />MINUTES <br /> <br />DATE: November 27, 2023 <br />TIME STARTED: 6:00 PM <br />TIME ENDED: 6:26 PM <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: Councilmembers Stoesz, Lyden, Ruhland, Cavegn, Mayor <br />Rafferty <br /> <br />Staff members present: City Administrator Sarah Cotton; Finance Director Hannah Lynch; Public <br />Safety Director John Swenson; Community Development Director Michael Grochala; Activity <br />Center Coordinator Ben Natzke; City Clerk Jolleen Chaika. <br /> <br />1. Review Regular Agenda <br />Mayor Rafferty began agenda review with the proposed policy changes for the Rookery as <br />presented on the Consent Agenda. Ben Natzke, Rookery Activity Center Coordinator was <br />present and provided a brief update on the status at the Rookery, including membership <br />increases as well a New Year’s promos and some new advertising that will be soon <br />implemented. <br />H also highlighted that much of the proposed policy changes focus around the age <br />requirements for the various spaces at the Rookery. Changes were also made to lifeguard <br />policies after switching from Ellis and Associates to Red Cross for lifeguard certification. <br />No further agenda items were discussed. <br />2. New Fire Apparatus Update, Dan L’Allier <br />Deputy Director of Public Safety/Fire, Dan L’Allier, provided Council an update on the new <br />fire appartus and provided some current photos. He advised that delivery of the first truck is <br />anticipated at the end of December, with the second expected about two weeks after that. <br />He advised anticipated service date for both is February 1 and that training will begin upon <br />delivery for the anticipated service date. <br /> <br />The work session concluded at 6:26 PM. <br /> <br />These minutes were considered and approved at the regular Council Meeting on December 11, <br />2023. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Jolleen Chaika, City Clerk Rob Rafferty, Mayor <br />30
